And Hugo Ch, always taking position on everything, in the logic of the latin panamericanismo... Colourful and ridiculous character. Nevertheless, this time he's got the point. Malvinas are the last British colony. Geographically, the territory does belong to Argentina. In 1982 Argentina was in a catastrophic domestic situation :  The society traumatized and  the economy weakened by the worst military regime in its history (General Videla&co) on the edge of loosing the endorsement even of these who used to stand by them. Loosing the Falklands War was, an actual final straw for the Goverment finds themselves in the obligation to resign. This time they try to get the Islands back in a diplomatic way

And if the internal latinamerican never-ending border conflicts, like these between Bolivia and Peru, Equator and Bolivia, etc... may seem obsolete in these days, Argentina claiming Malvinas back is, in my view, within its right to do it.
