Thank you post this article, this is a part of the History I'm actually quite interested in. I haven't heard about Mossad being involved into SAVAK's activities (or that's what I understood from the article). There are many Iranian refugees living (including Pahlavi family) in Paris. Many Iranian used to come to Europe, especially to Paris and London to study during the "golden" era of study grants, sent by the Shah's goverment. Some of them chose to stay... There is this very interesting book by R. Kapuscinski about the those times, called Shah of Shahs. A fascinating study of how power, ambitions and circonstances infuence nation's life. It is not always historicaly accurate (Kapuscinski's choice of facts and their interpretation is something which can be easly arguable), but one cannot understimate his input into sociological analyse of the dictatorship's background.

I remeber, more a year ago, I happened to learn that Prince Pahlavi, Shah's son attended a meeting with a group of his fellow country people, here in Paris, in offices of something called Council for Democratic Iran. I'm sure the family didn't give up the dreams of running the country again...
