What do you think about games called survival horror such as Resident Evil, Clock Tower, Alone in the dark, project Zero, haunting Ground...... and my favorite one: Silent Hill (the second is the best!).
To me, the sensations you feel when you're playing those games are particular. It is as if you were taking part of a horror movie, you have to pay attention to the slightest noise, always be hidden and when you attack, you have to do it fast and precise. My neighbour has bought the 360 Xbox, now we are waiting for survival horrors to come on this console.

Sorry, I can't answer your question, because I never played  survival horror games so far, but I would like to try.Which one would you recommand.

Silent hill 2, 3 and 4. The second is really scary! But obviously the 2 others are better realized. Haunting ground is as interesting because your caractere is having reactions that weren't seen in other games before (you can have a heart breack when you're too scared, you can't run indefinitly; when you're running too much, your vision is getting trouble and you can faint...). anyway, I would say:
1) Silent Hill 2
2) Haunting Ground
3) Project Zero (a chinese legend about human sacrifices: you are playing a girl who get lost in an abandonned old town. Your weapon? a camera. your ennemies? ghosts!!)
Just look for cinematics on Youtube.com and make your choice!
