Someone said once that babies were like farts: you can only stand yours. Beyond the scatological character of the statement, let's face it, it is not completely untrue.  However some people found the small world fascinating enough to take a close look at it.

"Babies", a co-production featuring four children born, respectively, in Namibia, in Mongolia, in Japan and in USA, released recently  in France, is an unpretencious, life-affirming picture bringing a whole bunch of sincere, genuine laugh. The greatest suprise is that it really makes you want increase the birth rate wherever you live in.Wink

Even if the film does not display anything any more or less observant parent coudn't notice, since babies grow so fast and bring so many emotions, lots of amazing, funny moments can be easly missed or forgotten. The team who made "Babies" caught a few of these moments, and by showing them reminded how similar we are born and that the difference comes from the world we're born in.

Hello SoulStealer,

I think you want to say, "don't be such a doubting Thomas", someone who won't believe something without direct, physical, personal evidence.

The term comes from the bible. Jesus's apostle, Thomas, refused to believe that Jesus has risen from the dead untill he had touched his wounds.
