Good afternoon,

I'd like to know how I can distingish the differents metrical feet in English Poetry...

I know there are Iambiac, Trochaic, Spondaic, Pyrric, Anapestic (and Dactylic) meter, and what they represent. But I don't understand how I can find the stressed and unstressed feet to say if we have an iambic etc...!

Could  you help me please?

Hi Aubis,

Thank you for your question. However it is too vast to cover on a forum. Enter each metrical foot in Google for a comprehensive answer.

Hope this helps.

 Have a great day.
