[Article] Rock ‘n’ Roll, 1939 – 1959, at Paris’s Fondation Cartier for contemporary art, is a multimedia exhibit that puts the visitor right in the thick of mid-century popular American culture. On first glance, the new exhibition, which opened its doors to the public June 22, has little in common with the work of the big names and rising stars usually on display in the space.
